Panel based reclaimed fibers

Sorbilite : Fiber Process

Primarily a panel manufacturer - I thought their interpretation of the need to add value to the product, not just produce another panel good was spot on.

Waste Materials

The following waste streams can be processed with the Sorbilite Integrated Composite Forming System:
  • Wood residue: sawdust, shavings, MDF and Particle Board remnants, hard or soft woods
  • Agricultural fibers: wheat straw, corn stalks, rice husks, coconut shells, pecan/walnut shells, palm leaves, paper, textile, etc.
  • Crumb rubber generated from discarded tires
  • Unselected Plastics, preferably PE and PS
  • Combination of all of the above
Even though value-added finished products achieve higher earnings then flat board, the earnings can be even greater when low start-up and low energy can be acquired. The Sorbilite Integrated Composite Forming System offers these advantages, plus the capability of producing products from zero cost raw materials in a simplified manufacturing process. The chart below compares value added products with commodity board.
