childhood memories...

my idea is to re-use children toys that were thrown away (lego, playmobil, dolls, etc.). They are usually produced from a different combination of plastics, causing the recycle process to be almost impossible. Inspired by the stairway in "Dylan's candy shop" in NYC (pic above) I am trying to find a way to preserve these childhood memories somehow, and reusing them, their shapes and colorfulness as decoration

Hmm...I wonder if she would tell you who custom made her stairway! She's Ralph Lauren's daughter, so she might keep her trade secrets to herself.

Do you think it would be kind of creepy seeing dolls and action figures embedded in the walls and floors?

Where would an aggregate with embedded toys be installeed?

I didn't realize it was so difficult to recycle toys - if so is there some place where specifically toys are separated out from recyclable plastic? I guess my concern would be finding a specific supplier of plastic toys. Even if you could find someone to process them into a building material.
