1. Since a key part of this project is contact with manufacturers I'd like you to get in touch with a "custom yarn spinning service" like this one Joy of Hand Spinning . As soon as possible find a service, preferably in the NYC area, and contact them about your idea and your questions.
1A. Determine your source of recycled newsprint.
2. Research handspinning- bring a book to class from the library on Monday.
3. Write up a list of the connotations around hand spinning.
4. Ideas for product - knit, crocheted, woven etc.
5. Make some of the yarn yourself and bring it to class.
